There are many public funding schemes and it is very difficult for an organization to navigate this "jungle". Horizon Europe alone issues over 100 calls per year. Other less known frameworks such as LIFE, EMFF, Innovation Fund and EUREKA Eurostars also issue calls every year. Each call has its own rules and guidelines. EC calls for proposals have become extremely competitive under Horizon 2020 and this is expected to be the same under Horizon Europe. Highly competitive calls such as the EIC Accelerator have a success rate below 2% and will only allow one resubmission (2 submissions in total) under Horizon Europe. With 300+ EIC Accelerator applications won for €824M+ of funding, we know what it takes to succeed in these ultra-competitive instruments. A typical proposal requires 3-6 months of development.
