Navigating the human brain

Robeauté builds autonomous microrobots, 1.8mm long and tracked continuously by ultrasound, that follow curved trajectories through brain tissue to reach sites inaccessible to straight-line neurosurgery.

The platform separates a standard carrier from mission-specific extensions, protected by more than 50 patents, with advanced biopsy as the first application and drug delivery and electrode implantation to follow. The company raised €27.2 million in January 2025 led by Plural, Cherry Ventures and Kindred Ventures, with strategic investment from Brainlab, and is targeting first-in-human studies by the end of 2026 while establishing US operations ahead of FDA submission.

Our mandate

Zaz Ventures secured Robeauté's first public capital at the transition from preclinical validation to human trials. We supported the EIC Accelerator Grant received in 2026 (€2.5 million), and are supporting the EIC Accelerator Equity scheduled for receipt in 2027 (€5 million). The grant funds micro-actuation mechanics, real-time ultrasound guidance software and the preclinical work preceding first-in-human procedures; the equity will fund clinical trial expansion and regulatory submission.
